Hello there! First of all, I would like to thank all the people in Bray who voted for me in the Local Elections and for putting their trust in me.
Now, more than ever, we need determined, passionate people in politics. We need people that will listen to and represent the views of their neighbours and their community – I believe that I am that type of councillor.
The 2009 Local Election was my first time to contest the local elections, although I was involved in previous elections helping my mother, the former councillor Anne Egan.
I am married to Kieran (Tarzan) O’Brien, the former Bray Wanderers' star player and have three children. I'm very active in the local area for many years now running the Community Games within St. Peter’s Parish. I'm involved in the Parents' Association of both St. Philomena’s N.S. (Ravenswell) and St. Peter’s boys N.S. As a parent I'm involved in organising and running Easter and Summer Camps for both schools and I'm also active with the Wolfe Tone Youth Club.
My main priorities on the Bray Town Council are to help maintain jobs and public services and to tackle the litter problem in Bray. I will follow up with the Council Officials all those issues that you raised with me when I was canvassing your area.
I truly believe it is vital that our area is represented by a local person who lives in the area and who understands the needs of local residents.
And don't forget you can contact me anytime -
