My name is Seána Ó Rodaigh and I am a Labour Councillor representing the people of the Balbriggan LEA in Fingal County Council. I was delighted and honoured to be elected as a first time candidate in the recent local election on May 24th 2019.
The past few months have been a steep learning curve and I have gained great insight into the complexities facing our diverse communities. As councillors we are here to serve you and to be your voice in Fingal County Council.
You can contact me by phone, email or social media to assist you in any way relating to Council issues.
I am delighted to provide monthly clinics in Skerries and Balbriggan if you would prefer to met in person. I work very closely with my five Labour colleagues on the Council and with Brendan Ryan TD.
The dates of Saturday morning clinics are as follows: September 28th, October 12th, November 16th and December 14th (11am in the Combined Club, Dublin Street, Balbriggan, 12pm in Skerries library)
My main interest is promoting community mental health and wellbeing. I am chairperson of Skerries Mental Fitness community organisation which I founded in 2017.
As a committee member of Skerries Youth Support Services (SYSS) and Skerries Harps Health and Wellbeing, I witness the power and positivity that is harnessed when people come together for the benefit of all. I have also worked with the Health and Wellbeing team in O’Dwyer’s GAA.
Having taught in St. Patrick’s Senior National School in Skerries since 2003, I have had the privilege of working with hundreds of young people. I will continue to work towards the long-term best interests of all residents.
Fingal is a beautiful place to live but it is the people who make it. I am excited about how I can help you shape the future of our towns.
