Thank you for taking time to visit my profile page.
I have lived all my life in the Dublin Rathdown area. I attended St Olaf’s NS (Balally), Oatlands College (Stillorgan) and Dundrum College of Further Education. I have a BA in Human Resources Management & Accountancy from the National College of Ireland.
I am a full time community worker with Southside Partnership and more recently I was appointed as a Peace Commissioner in the County of Dublin and within the counties
My goals are:
Support Local Businesses
- Getting people back to work and supporting initiatives that will encourage local employment and support local businesses.
- Supporting improvements in cycling facilities and an integrated and effective public transport system for all.
Smarter Planning for the Area
- Ensure that planning decisions are community based and in the best interests of our local area.
- Supporting local organisations and initiatives and ensuring that community involvement in local planning, policing and services is at the heart of the Council.
Youth Empowerment
- Surpport and protect Youth Facilities to help tackle anti-social behaviour in our communities.
- Protect and promote recreational amenities and play areas.
I am passionate about our local community - particularly working with young people. I believe the greatest way to change things is to get involved and that is why I ran for election.
I want to ensure that there are facilities and services available to all people in our area. I have been an adult volunteer in Balally Scouts for 12 years and I see daily the benefits of youth empowerment.
I have been involved in a number of different community groups:
- Group Leader of the 137th Balally Scout Group
- Chairperson of Glencullen Dundrum Musical & Dramatic Society
- First President of Union of Secondary School Students
- Served on the Board of Management of Dundrum College of Further Education
- Member of Naomh Olaf GAA Club
- Member of De La Salle Palmerston FC
If you have any questions, comments or would like to discuss local issues please do not hesitate to contact me.
