I am the Local Area Representative for the Clondalkin-Rathcoole Local Electoral Area - which covers my native Clondalkin, Rathcoole, Saggart, Newcastle and Brittas.
My family, originally from Ballyfermot moved to Clondalkin in 1995 and we have been there ever since. I was educated in St. Lorcan’s BNS in Palmerstown and Moyle Park College in Clondalkin before training as a Special Needs Assistant in the Liberities. I am now working in homeless services and specialise in the provision of emergency accommodation to people experiencing addiction and homelessness. As a result of working in homeless services I am passionate about housing policy, mental health, addiction and I am a big believer in the Housing First approach.
I joined the Labour Party in 2019 and immediately got involved in the 2019 bye-election as a canvasser in Dublin Mid West, shortly after that campaign I was asked to serve as Director of Canvassing for the impending general election. I was fortunate to have been able to commit myself to the campaign on a full time basis.
My priorities for Clondalkin Rathcoole are:
- Advocating for better local services
- Improved public infrastructure
- Investment in youth amenities and teen spaces
- Improved social and affordable housing
